Excerpt:"I'll start with The Girlfriend Game. When did the idea to put out a collection of short stories come about?I've always wanted to do a collection. About two years ago, I thought I had enough stories that were good… well, I can't be an objective judge of my own stuff, but I had enough stories that I liked. And they all felt like they belonged to the same universe. So then I got in touch with Jackie Corley of Word Riot Press, who stepped in to publish Midnight Picnic years ago after the press that was going to publish it went bankrupt.
