Excerpt: Women’s Memoirs Question #1: Paula, you have published essays and written articles for newspapers so you certainly have had a lot of writing experience. At what point did you decide that it was time to write your memoir?Paula Priamos: Personal essays are a great foray for a writer into a memoir. Completing an essay is far less daunting than an entire book. I wrote a couple of essays in particular about my relationship with my father and I knew by the second one I placed that it was time I structured a memoir about my life with him.
